Set apart
Ladies, this is a vital season to be set apart! Being set apart often refers to being consecrated or dedicated to a higher purpose, signifying a special relationship with God. The term "consecration" literally means "to associate with the sacred.”
Synonyms for ‘set apart’ include consecrate, pure and sanctify, in other words, “to be Holy as He is Holy!”
To be set apart isn’t about a set of rules and regulations, “do this but don’t do that.” It may seem difficult if you choose to do it in your own strength, however if you lean into the presence of the Lord, His grace will sustain you through the consecration cleansing, and purifying, embarking on this journey as His chosen ones.
“I have given them your word, and the world has hated them, because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world…And I set myself apart on their behalf, so that they too may be truly set apart.” John 17:14, 19 (NET)
Those who are set apart, reflect God's presence to the world. When we talk about consecration and being set apart, we are speaking about living in response to God and His will for our lives, wholly devoted. He must become preeminent!
To be set apart is a call back to your first love. “God's chosen people are set apart and sanctified for His purpose.”
