Legacy Get-A-Way is a faith-based ministry of Gritty Women of God. We are here to serve women that lead in ministry, fulfilling the offices described in Ephesian 4:11

Women are more accepted in ministry than any other time in history. But we are still facing challenges along with our victories. In the last few years we have experienced many disagreements concerning women in ministry positions and some church’s/organizations have even ‘banned’ women from being ordained as Pastors, this is an ongoing issue.  God has called you for such a time as this!

Legacy Get-A-Way is for women who are looking to be strengthened and refreshed, to build lasting and meaningful relationships, and to share their visions with one another.   The Legacy Women Ministry Team is comprised of Pastor Sheila Bowling, Pastor Libby Fannin, and Pastor Kim Collins. They have worked together to cultivate a unique women’s event called Legacy Get-A-Way that is hosted once a year and is a two-day event in a different locations every year. This is not a conference, but a time to connect with other women in ministry to discuss our unique roles and walk with one another through transition, through the good times and through the difficult times.

Our time spent together includes meals, fellowship, and prayer, with discussions specifically for women.

If you are either active in full time ministry, (5 fold office) or supporting their spouse in full time ministry and would like to get involved, please reach out to us so we can let you know about our next Legacy Get-A-Way !

Empowerment is a mentoring program under the Gritty Women of God Ministries. It is specifically tailored for women who feel the call of God upon their lives, but are not necessarily in full time ministry. The Empowerment Mentoring Sessions are an opportunity for  women to explore and be encouraged in their gifts through teaching sessions and personal touch moments.

Empowerment Mentoring helps women go forward in their call and gives them an opportunity to be fruitful in their lives as they are discovering the call of God on their lives, whether in the church or the marketplace.

This isn’t just a program—it’s a life-changing journey where you will:

💕Discover or affirm God’s unique purpose for your life and step boldly into your destiny!

💕Receive empowering guidance to confidently embrace your calling.

💕Transform lives for God’s kingdom through impactful mentoring and discipleship.

💕Don’t wait—step into the extraordinary!

If you are interested in joining us, we would love to discuss the program with you.

F.A.Q.s

  • 1. Mentoring Prevents Isolation

Many individuals in full time  ministry often struggle to find meaningful connections with other ministers. According to a survey by LifeWay Research, more than half (55 percent) of pastors say that being in ministry makes them feel lonely.

Too many ministers expend all of their energy on giving instead of receiving, which is simply unsustainable for them. Accordingly, lonely ministers typical don’t stay in the field very long. A shared sense of community is a key part of thriving in ministry, and mentoring helps foster that support system.

    2. Mentoring Provides Guidance from More Experienced Leaders

Prospective ministers require the guidance of senior leaders who, over many years, have experienced the ups and downs of ministry. Those that have been ministers long term can help younger students effectively navigate their journey.

All of us need help to prepare for our career and future, but ministers who will spend a lifetime caring for others must be able to talk about what they’re discovering about themselves (and their faith) as they prepare for ministry. Having a reliable, experienced, and trust-worthy mentor to guide and assist them during this crucial part of their journey is vital.

    3. Mentoring Offers Much-Needed Encouragement

Ministry is incredibly rewarding, but isn’t always easy. Preparing for ministry isn’t easy either. As young leaders heed God’s call, more experienced ministers can encourage and support their exploration. Most important is if a ministerscommitment or dedication to their faith ever begins to waver, a mentor can provide inspiration and encourage the student to focus on their calling to serve.

In addition mentors help process God’s call, provide important lessons, and discuss their ministry experiences in an encouraging and reflective setting.

“It’s tailored to each student individually,” “It’s walking with what the minister is going through now and also helping them get to the next step of ministry.”
